As a member of the Global Strategic Development & Analysis team, the Sr Specialist –  US Strategic Development & GIS will help analyze data and drive strategy for new restaurant development. In this position, you will report to the Manager of GIS and play a critical role in establishing how data is accessed, organized, and analyzed to meet business partner needs and deliver insights across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with IT/BI team to develop, maintain, and administer ArcGIS Enterprise. Applies GIS patches and updates; validates GIS applications after system maintenance or server updates. Serves as the technical expert for ArcGIS Enterprise. Partners with IT to create, implement and maintain critical GIS integrations to assist global development in tracking and managing data related to new unit restaurant growth.
  • Creates and maintains web applications and reporting templates for use by the broader global development team. Works with peers to evaluate tool requirements and leads the development and refinement of those geospatial tools and templates. Uses geographic knowledge to analyze large geospatial data sets and develops the methods to translate the data and analyses to answer business questions.
  • Manages the organization and storage of all spatial data within the Enterprise GIS. Works with manager and peers to develop strategies to integrate data from both internal and external sources. Develops, implements, and enforces application-related database standards; establish common practices for database design, documentation, naming conventions, security, reporting, and access as well as all other user maintenance activities.
  • Works with manager and peers to create training plans for GIS users. Trains and supports GIS system user base through a variety of different formats.

Minimum Wage
USD $85,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Wage
USD $145,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field (Geography, GIS, Spatial Analysis or equivalent background).
  • 4-6 years of professional work experience, preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis on spatial tool administration and development. GISP preferred.
  • Extensive ESRI software experience (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Business Analyst). Working knowledge of ESRI demographics and segmentation data and experience developing and maintaining spatial databases.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and proven ability to plan, manage and prioritize workload effectively.
