Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to design, develop, and integrate custom GIS applications. This role focuses on enabling efficient data flow, ensuring reliable system functionality, and connecting GIS solutions with other enterprise systems. The candidate will provide expertise in geospatial analysis, database management, and system best practices, while independently managing complex projects and delivering high-quality solutions.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom GIS applications using GIS development tools and standard programming languages.
• Design and implement integrations between GIS applications and other enterprise systems.
• Perform advanced tasks including database management (SQL Server), map and data service management, geoprocessing, and geospatial analysis.
• Document and improve workflows and best practices for GIS system integration and solution development.
• Utilize development tools, APIs, and middleware to ensure robust system connectivity.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high-quality standards and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development and system integration using modern programming methodologies.
• Proficiency with GIS development tools, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Desktop.
• Programming expertise in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL Server and database management.
• Experience integrating GIS systems with other applications using APIs or middleware.
• Advanced experience in GIS tasks, including data/map service management, geoprocessing, and map compilation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Hands-on experience integrating GIS applications with other systems using APIs.
• Experience developing and configuring applications and widgets using ArcGIS Experience Builder.
• Strong documentation skills and adherence to development best practices.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
