UDOT is looking to fill its Senior GIS Analyst position at our Region 2 office located in Salt Lake.
In this position you will plan and complete complex GIS projects and information products using a variety of GIS software and techniques for the region.

Principal Duties

  • As the Senior GIS Analyst, you will be tasked with:
  • Supporting the GIS and mapping needs of the region
  • Performing spatial analysis and preparing data
  • Designing and implementing customizable GIS solutions that fulfill business needs
  • Creating, inputting, generating, maintaining, integrating, mapping, analyzing, and performing quality control of spatial data
  • Completing other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position has:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Geography or closely related field with an advanced GIS based certification
  • At least 2 years of full time GIS experience.
  • Specialized GIS skills such as GIS tool customization, scripting, advanced cartography, spatial modeling, web map creation, etc.
  • Experience with using and configuring ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Web App Builder, ArcGIS Server and other GIS-related programs.
