Geocgi is looking for Senior Geospatial Test Engineer to support our client, Department of Homeland Security, DHS, in the Washington D.C. area. The candidate will design and automate geospatial and non-geospatial test plans, mentor QA teams, and develop tools and frameworks to ensure efficient, standards-compliant testing across multiple environments. This is a hybrid position with occasional onsite presence required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Leads and owns complex geospatial and non-geospatial testing projects by automating test plans, cases, and scripts to validate the functionality, accuracy, and reliability of GIS applications and associated data workflows.

•    Reviews, interprets, and provides expert guidance on technical specifications, system requirements, and design documentation to ensure alignment with established federal testing and quality assurance standards.

•    Provides technical leadership and mentorship to QA team members, driving the development and implementation of GIS-specific testing methodologies and advanced automation frameworks.

•    Defines and implements QA strategies to improve automation effectiveness, testing coverage, and process efficiencies across development, pre-production, and production environments.

•    Designs, develops, implements, and maintains scalable automated testing tools and frameworks, while evaluating and integrating emerging technologies to advance the testing environment.

•    Collaborates cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure test plans support overall program objectives and business goals, holding accountability for quality, timeliness, and successful delivery.

•    Identifies, analyzes, and resolves GIS application errors, system exceptions, and data integrity issues, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance performance, accuracy, and compliance with federal policies and procedures.

The following are requirements of the Senior Geospatial Test Engineer:

•    U.S. Citizen. with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

•    10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree.

•    Proven experience with Selenium software.

•    Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks.

•    Understanding of geospatial technologies, systems, and GIS applications.

•    Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to GIS applications and testing.

•    Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $80,000-$110,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
