Our team is looking for a Junior GIS Developer who is well-organized, has experience with the ArcGIS suite of desktop and server software to work under and with the Senior GIS Development Team. You will be responsible for working with a core team on small and large GIS projects for local government applications. You may be called upon to assist with the mapping, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include customer support of Sidwell and Esri GIS applications.

This position is budgeted to a starting base salary between $50,000-70,000/year based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Web Application Builder and Experience Builder
• Ability to communicate at a high level to provide remote and in person ArcGIS Po and Parcel Fabric training.
• Ability to learn Sidwell products and assist customers by answering and responding to Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk calls.
• Ability to learn to compile geographic information system (GIS) data utilizing an array of documentation including, but not limited to: public land survey system (PLSS), railroad and highway strip maps, platted subdivisions, surveys, deeds, and legal descriptions to complete tax parcel and land records GIS.
• Ability to use local government data (assessment, financial, etc) and developing applications for visualization, analysis, and presentation of environmental data
• Ability to develop GIS applications using one of the following Python, JavaScript, or related programming languages
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, work independently, and quickly turnaround maps, application prototypes or other deliverables

What we're looking for:

• At least 1 year of GIS development experience or equivalent college-level coursework
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or related field
• Experience with at least one or more programming languages
• Experience with interpretation of property boundaries from aerial photography, official documents and other resources
• One (1) years of experience creating web products with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Understanding of RESTful services and how to configure applications for communication appropriately.
• Experience working with, ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Server.
• Previous experience with Esri ArcGIS API’s such as Python or JavaScript (Preferred).
