City of Woodburn is looking for a skilled GIS Technician to join its IT team. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and updating the municipal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for various City Departments.

GIS is an exciting field and if you would like to make a difference working in the public sector, work on projects such as design and maintain maps in ArcGIG; help develop, implement, and maintain a GIS centric Public Works system; improve and maintain a GIS server providing maps and services to both staff and the public; coordinate software integrations between software systems to enable data to be visible across multiple platforms; and wide variety of other projects from geospatial tasks for Public Works, property locations for Police and 911, to SCADA system maps for Water utilities, then this may be the ideal workplace for you.
Associate's degree in geographic information systems with two (2) years of experience using GIS software applications, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Incumbent must have a valid Oregon class C driver's license and the ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards; must pass the pre-employment background check; and must pass the CJIS/LEDS background and fingerprint check.
