The City of Maryville is hiring a GIS Technician. Maryville, located 25 minutes from downtown Knoxville, serves as the county seat for Blount County. A quarter of Blount County's land area is the Smoky Mountain National Park, including the renowned Cades Cove.

Since 2005, Maryville, in partnership with Alcoa City and Blount County government, operates the Blount County GIS Group. The chosen candidate, though employed by Maryville, will support GIS efforts across all three entities. Our work extends to various departments, including multiple electric, water, sewer, stormwater, engineering & public works, police, fire, development services, and finance departments, as well as, 911, schools, the property assessor, election commission, emergency management, industrial development, and soil conservation services.
