Job description:

WNM Communications has an immediate opening for a GIS Technician. Responsibilities include: GIS map production and design using ESRI/MapCom software as well as data conversion, technical report writing, and spreadsheet data entry. The individual will act under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Engineering and assist in various GIS related projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills and perseverance to complete lengthy projects is a cost-effective way.

Education:High school diploma and some college level course work in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Civil Engineering or related majors

Successful candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills including the ability to provide technical reports to non-GIS users.

Computer Skills:1-year experience in GIS mapping software, specifically ESRI/MapCom. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as D-size plotters

Relevant Experience:1-year experience in GIS mapping software
