To maintain and support The Montgomery County Auditor's GIS mapping applications.

Summary of Job Duties
Responsible for the daily input and editing of GIS infrastructure; compiling and organizing GIS data from maps, databases and other sources; produce accurate maps and other representations of data for public and internal use; Ensure that quality assurance on new or revised data conforms to standards laid out in the GeoDatabase.

Responsible for the conversion, import and export data in and out of the GIS system; to choose the appropriate data, methods, and scale of analysis for each project; record and document details of map updates, additions and/or deletions; identify operational problems and make recommendations as to their solution; provide technical advice to aid in decision-making; basic working knowledge of spreadsheets, tables, and document creation.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: 2 year degree in a related field; 2 or more years GIS experience

Desirable Qualifications: 4 year degree in related field

Knowledge of ESRI software and extensions, specifically ArcMap 10.8, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online.  Ability to read and interpret technical information from map and survey drawings. The ability to define problems, collect data, reconcile facts and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite. The ability to use proper research methods in gathering data, understand and interpret technical information, and handle sensitive inquiries from officials and the general public.
