We are SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the U.S. We are seeking an individual to provide direct execution support for environmental programs and related technical support to the Fort Huachuca Environmental and Natural Resources Division (ENRD). The Fort Huachuca ENRD is responsible for managing and executing environmental, natural resources, and cultural resources programs on Fort Huachuca, AZ. What You'll Do: Responsibilities will include: Updating and maintenance of required GIS layers. Acting as the primary GIS analyst for DPW ENRD, providing professional-quality maps developed in GIS to support all environmental programs. Acting as the primary maintainer of DPW ENRD GIS data including regularly editing attribute data, symbology, and geometry in accordance with program manager specifications. Managing FieldMaps software, creating projects for field crews, and syncing data at the end of collection days. Transferring data securely between computers and field devices and providing package geospatial data to internal and external users. Assist ENRD program managers and users with ArcGIS use and geospatial data management. Monthly maintenance of all required environmental GIS layers for DPW, especially those associated with regulation revisions. Annual update all required environmental GIS layers for DPW especially those associated with revisions to regulations (annual deliverable). What You Bring: Education/Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or one of the physical sciences, or another degree related to database management is required. Experience with ESRI software required. Experience with federal, Arizona, and local environmental laws and regulations preferred. Experience with the military is beneficial. Experience with Microsoft software suite, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Teams. Candidates should possess excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills a must. Candidate may interact with federal, state, and local regulators and Army Civilian and Military personnel. Candidate should be a self-starter with a desire to learn and grow within the field. Candidate may have minimal travel requirements. Successful candidate must be able to pass a government background check and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC).
