We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator / Database Administrator to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Marine Corps personnel with GIS data creation, editing, analysis, and cartographic output.
  • Manage and maintain geospatial databases using tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related extensions.
  • Perform spatial analysis and data visualization to support mission planning, infrastructure, and environmental programs.
  • Integrate and standardize GIS data from multiple Marine Corps installations and external sources.
  • Develop customized maps, dashboards, and web applications for command-level decision-making.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on GIS tools and practices to military and civilian personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, logistics teams, and other stakeholders to align GIS capabilities with mission requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, metadata documentation, and compliance with DoD/USMC geospatial data standards.
  • Participate in field data collection efforts using GPS-enabled devices when required.
  • Assist with the implementation of geospatial solutions in support of emergency response and operational planning scenarios.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS software suite/ ArcGIS Server/Desktop, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience with geospatial database management (e.g., Enterprise Geodatabases, SQL Server, PostGIS).
  • Familiarity with DoD SDSFIE, FGDC metadata standards, and other geospatial data compliance requirements.
  • Experience with remote sensing, GPS, CAD-to-GIS integration, and spatial modeling preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Minimum of Active Secret Clearance required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Marine Corps or other military service branches.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) programs.
  • Knowledge of 360-degree photography, PTGui/Adobe and GPS systems
