This position performs technical and analytical work in the design, creation, maintenance and utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including meeting with City staff to discuss GIS needs, analyzing and maintaining associated data models, maps, and tabular information, in accordance with the City's established guidelines, and technology standards; implements graphical systems, automated update mechanisms, and system interfaces; revises, improves, updates, and maintains existing map and data layers; participates in or manages mapping processes, upgrades, and implementation projects.
