Seasonal, summer, GIS Internship position which includes the performance of a variety of manual and technical tasks in the field or office. The GIS Team is part of the IT division and works to support all City departments.   

• Creating maps, story maps, and ArcGIS Online applications
• Developing ESRI field applications for Field Maps, Quick Capture, and Survey123
• Field data collection and editing with GPS unit
• Learning how Public Works utilities work together, as an integrated system 
• Editing geometry and attributes by way of reading asbuilts

• Familiarity with ESRI suite of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Completion of one year of education in a GIS related technical program, GIS degree program, or related field
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted MN driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
• Detail oriented, thorough, and well organized
• Ability to perform physical demands of the position

• Pay range of $19.41-$21.60 per hour, DOQ. Flexible Hours - 24-32 a week
• Primarily an in-office position but flexible hours and remote work are potentially available. 
• Opportunity to fulfill college/university internship requirements.
