As an ENGEO GIS Intern, you will learn about this emerging technology in the geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, and construction space. Under the mentorship of the GIS team, you’ll collaborate with geologists, engineers, and project managers to develop clear, informative figures and visual content for reports and project portals. These materials will provide insight into plans, site conditions, construction or soil remediation progress, and geographical factors, helping enhance overall client understanding. Through this process, you’ll gain hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and other ESRI products.

Primary Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience updating and maintaining GIS platforms within the ArcGIS Enterprise Portal.
- Assist the GIS team in developing creative, data-driven visualization solutions.
- Collaborate with ENGEO teammates to design and refine figures for technical reports and project portals.
- Contribute to projects serving both local and global clients.
- Take on additional responsibilities to support project success, as needed.

- Maintains exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, or related field.
- Familiar with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
- General understanding of spatial data concepts, projection systems, data management, and geodatabases.
- Must be able to legally work within the United States.
Other Desirable Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a minor or certificate in GIS or related fields from a major university.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Familiar with Survey123
- Note - Interested applicants are encouraged to submit two samples of past GIS work (e.g., maps, figures, reports, portals, etc.)
