Join the City of Gunnison team as a GIS Intern and gain hands on experience supporting real world projects that impact the community every day. In this role, you will work closely with the GIS and Infrastructure Project Manager to maintain and improve critical data that supports public works and city utilities. You will assist with updating utility and infrastructure datasets, conducting field verification, and ensuring data accuracy through quality checks, all while building valuable technical and professional skills.

This internship offers the opportunity to create maps and StoryMaps for both internal teams and public use, helping communicate important information in clear and engaging ways. You will gain practical experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Field Maps while contributing to meaningful projects that strengthen the City’s geospatial resources. This internship pays $21.55 per hour for 112.5 hours. Upon successful completion of the internship and receipt of a grade of C or higher, an additional $1.84 per hour will be paid as a bonus.
