Internship- 19 hours per week

CFPUA has several ongoing GIS projects that the intern will gain valuable experience from. The intern will help maintain several layers including but not limited to: project as-built, easement, capacity management and water and sewer. Additionally, the intern will help build and deploy GIS applications for use during engineering related projects. The intern will gain valuable experience editing in a versioned enterprise GIS environment. 

o Research as-builts inventory and Laserfiche to find as-builts to be added to GIS.
o Use the coordinate geometry tool using easement survey plats to create and update CFPUA easement dataset.
o Maintain and process GIS spatial data using a variety of tools for the water, sewer, easement, project and capacity layers.
o Learn how to read and interpret engineering design documents.
o Build ArcGIS online web applications for use by staff and customers.

Enrolled in or recent graduate from an associate's degree or bachelor's degree program with a course study in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field.
