We are looking for our next GIS Intern to join our team at TVWD for a limited duration of 6 months!

The Position:

As our GIS Intern, you will help support the 140 employees who bring safe, clean, and reliable drinking water to nearly 220,000 customers. With our Asset Management team, you will support basic tasks for our GIS department within this role. 

As our GIS Intern, you’ll focus on working with our GIS team to help insert new infrastructure assets into the GIS Enterprise databases, including the utility network.  You will also update data in our new electronic operations and maintenance manual to support the completion of the Willamette Water Supply System. Other duties will include producing maps for internal and external requests, spatial analysis, and GPS collection. Throughout your 6 months with us, you will have the opportunity to work with GIS mobile and desktop applications and get first-hand experience of how our engineering and operations team works. Our GIS Intern will need to have a high school diploma and be at least 18 years of age or older. The working conditions for this position include sitting or standing while using a computer. 

Compensation/Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00-$22.00, depending on experience.

Since this is a 6-month limited duration position, no additional benefits will be provided except those required by law.
