The Grand Traverse County Road Commission (GTCRC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Coordinator to join our team. As the GIS Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing, analyzing, and maintaining geographic information for planning, development, and maintenance of Grand Traverse County's roads, bridges, signs, and signals.

Grand Traverse County is located in Northern Michigan and is known for its picturesque scenery, vibrant arts and foodie scene, and abundant outdoor activities.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a dynamic individual who can collaborate with multiple departments across the organization. The GIS Coordinator plays an important role in leveraging data to support decision-making and drive projects, so the person must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with team members in non-technical terms to explain data and concepts.

The ideal candidate will have professional education and experience in GIS, preferably in a public works or transportation setting, and proven success in working on a team.
