GIS Database Administration, Data Reviewer, and Quality Assurance Expert:
- Perform daily administration of electrical geodatabase by creating and maintaining “versions” in Tacoma Power’s Enterprise Geo-Database.
- Perform daily QA/QC efforts of versions, post versions and create GIS Files for D/OMS.
- Perform data imports/exports for: Construction projects, inspections, surveyors, public disclosure requests, data audits, and outside agencies as required.
- Develop, maintain, and execute scripts and work processes to ensure data quality for Tacoma Power’s systems of record (SAP and GIS).
- Create, modify, and publish Tacoma Powers APRX files for GIS Data Editors to ensure optimal performance, efficiency and security.
- Create periodic logs and reports to track data quality
- Develop solutions to correct, maintain, and fix current and future data issues.
- Manage templates: Create and edit project templates for new projects, base maps, layouts, etc., to adhere to T&D standards.
- Manage layer configurations and properties to be utilized for specialty maps, base maps, construction drawings, and various templates utilized by T&D staff.
- Manage attribute rules: Define rules to automatically populate attributes, stop invalid edits, and perform quality assurance checks that adhere to T&D standards.
System Maintenance, Testing & Enhancements, and Training:
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to identify business needs for GIS applications and integrations.
- Document business workflows, functional specifications, and impact assessments for proposed system changes.
- Coordinate project planning activities for GIS-related upgrades and enhancements, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
- Research, recommend, and collaborate with the GIS Technical Advisor and UTS BIDS on the appropriate GIS technology solutions to meet T&D’s business requirements.
- Test GIS software upgrades and configuration to ensure they meet the needs of T&D office and field staff.
- Create, maintain, review, and manage test scripts to ensure data quality.
- Create, maintain, review, and manage staff procedures for mapping, plotting, data review, layer management, and other mission critical work.
- Perform end-user training for new processes, tools, and various apps
Minimum Education*
Bachelor's degree public or business administration, information technology or directly related field
Minimum Experience*
4 years of progressively responsible analytical and/or functional analyst, user support or database maintenance work in area related to assignment
*Relevant education and experience may substitute for one another on a year-for-year basis

Pay Details:
Annual Salary: $105,643.20 - $148,740.80
