Starting pay:  $33.87 - $36.47 depending on experience, $33.87 - $45.54 full range of salary.  Benefits include healthcare, paid time off and paid sick leave.

The Kodiak Island Borough (a borough is the equivalent to a county in the lower 48) is looking for a GIS Analyst to support mapping, spatial data management, and technology-driven decision-making in our unique Alaska community.

This position offers both variety and the opportunity to see how GIS supports real public services. You'll work with geographic databases, E-911 addressing, aerial imagery, land ownership records, spatial analysis, and GPS-based field data collection. You'll also coordinate GIS information across Borough departments and work with outside agencies to maintain and share accurate data.
