Position: GIS Analyst II
Location: Waukesha Office
Experience Level: 6-11 years
Role Overview:
As a GIS Analyst II, you’ll work closely with our GIS Team Leader and staff to leverage GIS and civil engineering technology in solving geographic challenges. You’ll play a key role in analyzing and communicating geographic trends to our clients, with ample opportunities for professional development and career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- GIS Expertise: Utilize Esri software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise) for data creation, geoprocessing, and geographic analysis.
- Web & Mobile Solutions: Design and implement Esri web (Dashboards, Web App Builder, Experience Builder, Story Maps) and mobile (Field Maps, Survey123) solutions.
- Map Creation: Develop maps and reports tailored to project requirements.
- Technical Skills: Maintain desktop and networked datasets, troubleshoot system failures, and apply engineering and surveying principles.
- Application Design: Automate GIS tasks and integrate new technologies.
- Project Management: Assist with project scoping, planning, and coordination with customers, including proposal development and contract management.
- Training & Support: Create training materials, support internal and external training, and address technical issues with end users.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with teams to implement solutions, attend customer meetings, and contribute to GIS needs assessments.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-11 years in GIS analysis with strong proficiency in Esri software.
- Skills: Proficient in GIS data creation, processing, and analysis; experienced with web and mobile solution design; skilled in map creation and spatial data validation.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of GIS system architecture, map services, projections, and coordinate systems. Experience with scripting or programming in SQL, Python, or Arcade is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to read and interpret complex documents, establish effective work relationships, and present solutions clearly to clients.
