The Village of Carol Stream has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and collaborative GIS Analyst with an interest in public service, to join our Information Technology team. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining, and actively supporting the Village’s Geographic Information System (GIS) with a focus on ESRI platforms. This position supports asset management initiatives, maintains infrastructure data through as-built attribution, and expands the use of GIS to improve operational decision-making and service delivery.

Ideal candidates will be problem-solvers with a strong foundation in cartographic principles, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a team-oriented, public serving environment. 

Additionally, qualified candidates must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the design, development, implementation, and administration of a geographical information system.
• Experience with  ESRI GIS platforms.
• ESRI Technical Certification, GISP certification, or the ability to obtain relevant GIS certifications within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience supporting asset management systems and infrastructure data preferred.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
