IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team!  We are currently seeking a GIS Analyst in our Breckenridge, CO office. As a GIS Analyst you will collaborate with other members of the GIS team on the scope and schedule of projects. You will be expected to maintain extensive knowledge in Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) solutions and successfully analyze data and present data visualizations. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing support and expertise in the development of the firm’s GIS capabilities to meet strategic objectives. 

Some key duties and responsibilities include:   

  • Designs and edits GIS data for numerous projects;
  • Ensures alignment of data with company standards; 
  • Monitors and applies the best industry practices; 
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy; 
  • Utilizes ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Online in data visualization, analysis and application configurations; 
  • Use of mobile applications and GPS units for field collections;
  • Perform Drone (UAS) collections;
  • Develop and maintain scripts for repetitive processes;
  • Use and management of related ArcGIS Enterprise components internally and for clients
  • Meet with clients to design GIS solutions, project updates, provide training and technical support;
  • Develops sustainable systems of collecting and managing data; 
  • Manages necessary hardware and software; 

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are: 

  • Manage and leverage GIS resources to create maps and graphic reports; 
  • Collect and handle data;  
  • Provide mapping services; 
  • Perform technical research and analysis, and coordinate activities; 
  • Both subject matter expert and cross-functional leader; 
  • Scripting, Integration data sets into GIS using Python and R; 
  • LiDAR data analysis; 
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and relational databases; 
  • Configuring online applications, managing the relationship with the client; 
  • Solid cartographic skills; 
  • Outstanding project management and facilitation skills; 
  • Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and experience requirements are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field; 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with ArcGIS; 
  • Data and Application Development; 
  • GISP certification preferred.
