GIS Analyst – Oil and Gas Pipeline

Geonamic Systems, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill GIS Analyst roles in Atlanta, Georgia.  Geonamic Systems is a leading asset integrity and data management software and service company providing Esri GIS-based solutions to oil & gas pipeline operators throughout the U.S. and globally.

Responsibilities:  The successful candidate must be self-motivated and detail oriented, with a strong desire to excel and grow in a fast paced, leading edge software development and consulting environment.  Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: GIS data management and mapping; data acquisition, conversion, and manipulation; implementation of Geonamic technology; software testing and documentation; procedure development and documentation; technical support; and coordination with other GIS analysts, developers and project managers for a variety of oil & gas pipeline GIS projects.  Work may include on-site assignments with Houston-based oil and gas pipeline clients.

Education:  BS or MS Degree in geosciences, computer science, engineering, or related field.

Skills: Exemplary interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.  Ability to travel domestically is desired, some international travel may also be necessary.

Travel:  < 10%

Software Knowledge: One to ten years of experience with Esri product line -- ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Mobile.  Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Python, and/or ArcGIS Server is a plus.  Experience with linear referencing or pipeline data workflows, preferably using ArcPro.  Experience editing and configuring data within File Geodatabases or Enterprise Geodatabases.

Experience:  Minimum of one year of oil and gas pipeline GIS experience is a firm requirement, to include management of PODS and/or UPDM pipeline data models.
