Position Summary
GIS Analyst
RSI is currently recruiting for a GIS Analyst in Oak Ridge, TN who is primary responsible for the development of maps for graphic portrayal in environmental planning documents as part of a multi-disciplinary project team of planners and scientists.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support document development by producing figures that show spatial relationships and clearly communicate current and future land use.
- Infrastructure mapping and land use planning.
- Support interdisciplinary team to produce quality products for a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Create new GIS datasets based upon existing standards.
- Edit existing Shapefiles, Geodatabases, and relational databases.
- Acquire, download, correct, integrate, and document GPS data from the field to existing GIS datasets.
- Data entry into a GIS related database.
- The ability to work on projects with limited supervision; prepare technical reports and documents in a clear and concise manner; work well with various personnel and communicate both orally and in writing is fundamental to this position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate of Science degree or relevant experience in GIS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Environmental Experience with GIS applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance
- Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcPro, JavaScript API
- Experience with MS Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with CAD and MicroStation application files
- Experience with Python scripting
