POSITION OVERVIEW: As a GIS Analyst at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for the creation of physical maps, and the maintenance and acquisition of data to support company operations in the local Areas. Additionally, the Analyst will be required to develop and maintain a variety of GIS web applications such as interactive maps and dashboards.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Utilize GIS tools and techniques to analyze, manage, and visualize data.
- Create cartographic products using established standards.
- Assist with the maintenance of GIS databases.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to contribute to the planning and decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in GIS.
- Research and apply analytical problem-solving techniques to GIS projects
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with GIS software with proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience in various GIS web application development.
- Experience with XLS-based forms and structured data collection workflows.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Experience with programming languages is a plus
