About The Role:
As a Geospatial Technician I, you are responsible for LiDAR classification, creating digital elevation models, and compiling break lines for a diverse range of projects. You will be introduced to a broad array of airborne mapping fundamentals and procedures under the guidance of senior team members.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Learn and classify LiDAR point clouds using TerraScan and MicroStation to meet customer requirements
- Serve as a primary resource for LiDAR data processing on topographic and utility surveys
- Issue all project deliverables in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement and construction activities
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to achieve resolution of project- related tasks
- Provide internal daily status reports
- Other special duties as assigned
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial, with a concentration in surveying, geomatics, or GIS (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience with emphasis on LiDAR data classification (preferred)
- Knowledge of MicroStation/TerraScan, AutoCAD Civil3D, ArcGIS, Google Earth, and other mapping software is a plus
- Knowledge of surveying and mapping practices is a plus
- Knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus
- Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations
