Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst

Duties
- You will collect GIS data from Global Positioning System (GPS) devices, CAD files, coordinates, imagery and other GIS data.
- You will maintain overall responsibility for the installation's GIS data and maps, stored and maintained in the Maintenance and Analysis environment and the GeoReadiness Explorer environment.
- You will publish GIS data to the production database and other databases and locations.
- You will update and modify feature attributes and/or layer assignments to meet emerging technical and policy requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising stakeholders on alternative approaches in GIS data maintenance, QA/QC, and publishing procedures; 2) Applying GIS hardware, software, and applications to support an installation's GIS data products; 3) Providing technical and cartographic assistance to GIS data and system users.
