Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation's largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. GIS (Geographic Information System) has become a core data and applications set for the utility, essential to many business units in the execution of their work. This position is an entry level member of the GIS Mapping group, part of the Asset Management and Large Projects Division at Seattle City Light. This position is responsible for preparing, maintaining and revising GIS information, maps and viewers for internal and external customers of Seattle City Light.
This position will report to the Network GIS Supervisor.
Education: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or two years of college level instruction in electrical engineering (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Certification/License: Driver's license or equivalent mobility.
