Geospatial Developer I position with Texas A&M Forest Service located in College Station, TX USA.
Major duties: Design, develop, test, implement, document, and maintain custom geospatial software applications with an emphasis on interactive web mapping applications including mobile solutions and games. Provide consulting, technical support, and training to users of custom geospatial applications and to technical staff.
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Degree in computer science, spatial science, management information systems, or natural resource field is preferred.
Minimum experience: Minimum of 2 years in design and development of web, mobile, and/or database applications including at least 1 year (2 or more preferred) in geospatial applications. A graduate degree in a preferred field may substitute for experience. Additional experience in geospatial technology and experience in a natural resource field are preferred.
