The Gas Geospatial Management & Analytics Team is responsible for creating, maintaining and updating natural gas system records into an Enterprise Geospatial Information System (GIS) Database. The gas records are utilized internally and externally by thousands of viewers to determine the approximate location of our buried assets, along with key asset attributes such as installation year, size, material, operating pressure, etc.
The Gas Distribution GIS Team is responsible for data maintenance and cleanup activities in the Enterprise GIS Database as well as supporting other departments in their integration and use of GIS data. Each year over 2,000 work orders are analyzed and posted to the GIS database, equating to over 500 miles of gas distribution main. The Team is required to post 90% of new incoming work orders completely, accurately and timely within 30 days from SAP Field Complete to achieve the 2019 Public Safety & Records Accuracy Break Through Goal. To achieve this goal, the team regularly documents and reports out on exceptions and closely interacts with the Operations group when information is missing or incomplete.
The Gas Transmission GIS Team is responsible for data maintenance and cleanup activities in the Enterprise GIS database as well as supporting other departments in their integration and use of GIS data. Work orders from Transmission Pipe Engineering, System Integrity, Storage, and Metering and Regulation are analyzed and posted to the Transmission GIS Database. The team is required to post accurately 90% of work orders within 90 days of in-service date. The data posted by the team is consumed by various groups in the company to help maintain safe operations of our Transmission pipeline.

The Gas GIS Analyst within the Gas Geospatial Management & Analytics will be responsible for performing complex analytical, technical and administrative tasks.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
General technical analysis supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, negotiations, transactions, customer services and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the company. Duties and who this individual report to will fluctuate between projects, departments and offices. Lead and/or assist with technical support for the plans, reports, impacts, contracts, schedules, estimates, data collection, observation, and field investigation. Provide technical, non-engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted applications software and equipment to prepare technical support documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard procedures for projects. Become familiar with business and technical plans and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication. Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. Public involvement may include producing reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual material as well as occasional speaking or meeting with stakeholders. Attend internal and external meetings. Provide technical support services in a legal and ethical manner. Regular attendance is expected.
Hours and Travel:
This position requires the individual work 40 hours per week with 90% of time spent in the office or specific field locations.
