Bachelor's Degree in Geography, or in a science or technology field with significant application in GIS and four years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade NE1 Wage minimum $17.84/hr
Applied professional experience with Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, Python, Model Builder, and ArcSDE; Applied professional experience, knowledge and skills with latest versions of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Solutions. GISP certification is desirable.
This position will be responsible for collection, processing, and potential analysis of a wide range of geographic data relevant to new and ongoing projects with the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute at the University of Louisville. This will include geographic data and analysis with both national and micro-scale environmental, demographic, and health data. Field work to perform environmental monitoring may occasionally be required. There is potential for the selected candidate to pursue relevant personal research interests and co-authorship of scientific publications for those who make a meaningful scientific contribution to the work.
