Scope of Work
Assists in the maintenance and development of Geographic Information System (GIS) databases, metadata, applications, maps, reports, queries, etc. to support the GIS Division and other Departments as needed.
Essential Job Duties
Physical and Environmental Conditions
Ability to sit, stand and move about a building and inspect offsite locations for needed GIS analysis.
Required Qualifications
Strong attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of ArcGis software (ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo). Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing with other employees and the general public, and perform basic math and algebraic functions. Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage concurrent projects while working in a supportive team environment.
Familiarity with the following would be an asset, but not required: Trimble Geomatics & other GPS softwares, ArcSDE, Building Plans, Plats, Adobe Illustrator, Corel, & Microsoft Office Suite.
