NATURE OF WORK:
The Geographic Information System (GIS) Manager is responsible for the design, maintenance, administration and operation of the City's enterprise GIS. The manager is responsible for managing teams that plan, implement and provide expertise for GIS-dependent systems and GIS-related projects. Such management includes supervisory and advanced technical work to facilitate project teams, identify resources and establish GIS project objectives and their execution. Work is reviewed through audits, meetings and results obtained.
Bachelor Degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus a minimum of four years experience in cartography, geography, engineering, and systems analysis, two of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Knowledge of ESRI, computer aided drafting, design and mapping systems required. Knowledge of SDE, Python, SQL Server and FME preferred.
