The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver is using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications and operations that we deliver to our customers. About the Data Tools and Governance Division
The Data Tools and Governance Division connects both internal and external customers to information and services by providing the access, framework, tools and expertise required to fully leverage the City's data and information assets. Data is dedicated to transforming Denver’s access to and use of data to drive strategy, policy, and operations. The security team plans and implements security governance and controls, monitors and responds to cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

As a GIS Data Administrator for the Data Tools and Governance team within Technology Services, you will be responsible for managing the City and County of Denver’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program and providing the highest level of customer service to our clients. You will also serve as a GIS technical expert by developing and implementing industry accepted standards and procedures for use of GIS applications and services and promoting the adoption of these standards and procedures throughout the city for GIS professionals and users. You will be responsible for a variety of project activities to develop and implement GIS technology, which will include data layer development/management, high quality map production, complex GIS analysis, conducting training, and documentation of processes.

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience at the type and level of the Senior GIS Analyst, including one year of experience completing complex, multi-disciplinary GIS projects.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience
