GIS Analyst

Garver’s Planning and Environmental Team has a GIS Analyst opening in our Austin office. Our team ins growing, this position will join our in-house GIS specialists and planners within our transportation practice. The Analyst will perform advanced geographic information systems (GIS) data development, integration and analysis, produce maps and graphics, analysis and report data. The GIS Analyst will also provide technical assistance and support mostly transportation planning projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, IS/IT, Geography, Planning or Environmental Science or related field
    1 to 3 years’ experience strongly preferred,
  • 5 years’ experience without a Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with ESRI products, including ArcGIS Desktop and ArcCatalog.
  • Familiar with 3D Analyst & Spatial Analyst extensions and other GIS software such as Google Earth.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro and Microstation a plus
  • Ability to create web applications using ArcGIS Online Web App Builder.
  • Strong aptitude for using MS Office Suite, in particular MS Excel.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
