Digital Map Products ( ) has an immediate opening for a full-time, GIS Analyst in their Irvine, CA office. Digital Map Products is a fast-paced and growing company leading the next generation of embedded spatial technology and the preeminent pioneer in integrating land-related information into a single visual map-based interface.


Individual will work with a highly skilled team, integrating and maintaining geospatial data and developing automated geoprocessing workflows and data solutions. The position offers excellent environment, salary, and benefits.  


  • Analyze use cases and propose solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Design and develop automated geoprocessing workflows and solutions.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, modifications, enhancements and maintenance for existing geospatial data processing scripts and tools.
  • Develop data acceptance criteria, QA plan and automated testing routines.
  • Perform data analysis, assessment, QA, maintenance and management.
  • Constantly explorer relevant geospatial datasets and tools that will add value to data or improve operation efficiency.     
  • Investigate data related issues and develop resolutions.
  • Be able to work under general supervision.


  • Bachelor’s degree or better in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience with geoprocessing, automated cartography, computer science, programming, and spatial analysis
  • Familiar with GIS standards, principles, best practices, open source tools and public domain data
  • Proficient in at least one object-oriented or scripting language
  • Knowledge of relational database

Desired Skills:

  • Strong geoprocessing skills
  • Experience working with raster and vector data sets applying GDAL and similar spatial libraries
  • Experience with ArcGIS and open source tools (QGIS, GRASS…etc.)
  • Strong in math, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with C/C++, Java or C#
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with digital image processing techniques
