Part of the Information Technology Practice Center, the Design Technology team focuses on increasing efficiency and enhancing project delivery with data collection, design, and visualization solutions. We are looking for a GIS Administrator to support and advance our Enterprise GIS environment. This includes supporting applications, enhancing standard workflows, implementing new technologies, and creating awareness of available solutions. Responsibilities May Include:

  • Administer ArcGIS Enterprise environment in MS Azure and related technologies including, but not limited to, ArcGIS Pro and Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS web and mobile apps, Geocortex, SQL Server, etc.
  • Provide end-user GIS support and troubleshooting
  • Develop, document, and manage geospatial technology processes, models, tools, and scripts
  • Create and manage GIS content
  • Work with internal staff, software vendors, and clients to outline desired outcomes, requirements, and implement solutions
  • Maintain a high level of professional and technical knowledge of GIS and other digital design software through continued use as well as continuing education and training
  • Support GIS initiatives and related tasks
  • Research and develop emerging geospatial technology
  • Work with other IT staff to coordinate new applications and software updates
  • Develop and manage training programs and resources to enable users to leverage standards and technology efficiently and effectively
  • Facilitate and lead user group meetings to share developments and discuss future initiatives
  • Duties may be of an urgent and critical nature, requiring work to be done on evenings and weekends

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or similar field of study with an emphasis on GIS
  • 2 – 5 years of professional experience with Enterprise GIS technology
  • Detail oriented with strong professional, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technology issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment while independently managing workloads

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Looking for experience in the following areas AEC industry and application of GIS
  • Educating or training others in GIS
  • Leading work groups or teams
  • Possess or in pursuit of GISP certificate
  • ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, and Online implementation and administration
  • MS Azure server administration
  • Automation / programming languages including, but not limited to, Python, Arcade, SQL. Database management including, but not limited to, SQL Server
  • Multi-dimensional geospatial modeling including, but not limited to, ArcGIS Pro scenes, CityEngine, Urban
  • Data analysis and visualization including, but not limited to, ArcGIS, Power BI, Tableau
  • Point cloud registration and processing from terrestrial or airborne sources including, but not limited to, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Site Scan, ReCap Pro.
  • Implementation or support of asset / facility management solutions
