To maintain current, accurate and complete geolocation data for the built environment at the University of Texas.
Update, refine, and enrich geographical geometry and data information using various techniques and data sources. Publish changes for consumption. Prepare reports or maps as necessary. Coordinate priorities and workload with area leads in order to satisfy operational goals. Communicate progress and escalate obstructions. Collaborate with technical staff and operate as technical representative to consumers. Represent department in professional manner in client interactions. Deliver high quality and responsive customer service. Communicate effectively and professionally. Utilizes task management software in accordance with departmental expectations. Perform tasks to support continuous improvement for the department. Suggest process improvements as appropriate.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.
Four years of experience with Geographical Information Systems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret floor plans, maps, diagrams and data tables. Ability to effectively communicate through verbal, written and cartographic means with managers, clients, and customers. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in Geography. More than four years of experience with Geographical Information Systems. One year of experience interpreting civil construction drawings, experience using modern survey equipment, competency in database operations, experience working in enterprise GIS, and one year of experience using Autodesk software.
